Rattlesnake Ledge

Rattlesnake Ledge

I have been eager to explore the Pacific Northwest since I moved to Seattle. I was able to get my first hike in shortly after moving when I had a friend in town for business. We took a Saturday to go explore Rattlesnake Ledge.

Rattlesnake Ledge Trail

The trail is a very easy 4.0 round trip hike that offers a ledge with sweeping views of Mount Si, Mount Washington, Rattlesnake Lake and Chester Morse Lake. The trail is heavily trafficked with a ton of dogs as well. Be prepared to deal with a ton of people and their animals. It was December weather in Seattle and we still had a decent crowd. It’s an ideal quick hike but not suggested if you want to be somewhere quiet. The trail is absolutely beautiful as it is carved along the side of the mountain through lush forest.

Ledge Views

After taking our time talking and catching up, we made it to the top. The top comes to a signed junction where you can either continue on to Snoqualmie Park (8 miles) or go to the right for steep and rocky ledges that overlook Rattlesnake Lake. We ended our hike here and took some time to relax and enjoy the view.
